Well, here we go...

Welcome to Freedom Point Mama
Real life. Real faith. Real freedom.

Hey there, friend — I’m so glad you found your way here.

If we haven’t met yet, I’m just a simple southern mama doing my best to love big and live well in a small town. I’m in my forties now — a season I never saw coming, but one I’m learning to embrace with wide-open arms and a whole lot of Jesus. Somewhere along the way, I stumbled (okay, maybe got launched headfirst) into a life full of adoption, trauma-informed parenting, rare diseases, sensory processing struggles, food allergies, ADHD, and now… homeschool. Whew.

This wasn’t the path I expected. But let me tell you — the past two years have stretched me more than the twenty before them combined. I’ve cried in the pantry, prayed in the shower, laughed until I snorted, and celebrated victories that might seem small to others but felt like Mount Everest to us. I've read, researched, wrestled, and reached for hope with both hands.

People keep telling me I should write a book — and maybe one day I will. But let’s be real, between the lesson plans, therapy appointments, meal prep, business calls, and trying to remember where I left my coffee (again), a blog felt a little more doable. So here we are.

This space is my way of sharing what I’ve learned — and what I’m still figuring out — with anyone walking a similar road. Whether you’re a tired mama navigating special needs, a woman trying to reclaim her health after years of putting herself last, or just someone craving balance and freedom in a world that never slows down… I see you. You’re my people.

You’ll find a little bit of everything here — stories, struggles, wellness tips, Jesus-filled encouragement, some rambling thoughts, and probably more dog hair than I’d like to admit. I'm a wife to my rugged outdoorsman, a bonus mom in a beautifully blended family, Mimi to nine precious grandbabies, a virtual teacher, and proud mama to three goofy wire-haired pointing griffons.

This isn’t a place of perfection — it’s a place of process. And if you’re in the middle of your own messy, beautiful process, I hope this blog feels like a warm hug and a deep breath.

Stick around, grab a cup of something hot, and let’s chase freedom together.

Love,
Freedom Point Mama
